Started above the village dairy in 1985.
Sepp Huber, a former Austrian B-team racer, came home to Mayrhofen in the autumn of 1985, married into the Penken-side valley, and decided the village needed a proper ski school. He started teaching out of a rented room above the dairy on Hauptstraße with two friends he’d coached the season before.
Forty years later we’re still in the same building — although the dairy is gone and the boot room takes up the whole ground floor. The school is still run by the family: Sepp’s daughter Marlene built the kids programme in the nineties; his granddaughter Karin Huber — Stufe-3 certified since 2008 — runs the floor today as head instructor.
What’s grown: from two instructors and one weekly group course to 5 instructors, six languages, four group programmes, private 1-on-1s, a kids ski school, a race camp on the Hintertux glacier, and a snowboard school. What hasn’t grown: group sizes (still capped at six, hard ceiling), the meeting point (still Talstation Penken · Lift A1), and the rule that you keep the same instructor for every day of your week.

Not "usually six". We turn customers away rather than overcrowd a lesson. The number above the door is the number on the mountain.
Same instructor all week
Once you’re paired, you keep them — Monday morning to Friday afternoon. Continuity does more for progress than any technique tip.
Six languages, you pick
DE, EN, IT, FR, NL on request, plus working Spanish. You request your instructor by language, not the other way around.
